A woman reached out to me once, embarrassed to even ask. She was the mom of one of my students, and she needed to know — once and for all — whether she could sing.

She'd grown up in a family that mocked her voice. She loved music deeply: music festivals with her husband, a whole social circle of musicians. But she never sang with them. Because she was terrible. That's what she'd been told, and she believed it.

At the end of her first session, I told her what I actually heard: real pitch accuracy, a workable range, and a few specific technical gaps — breath control, register blend — that were straightforwardly coachable. She started crying.

Three sessions in, she told her husband and kids she could sing. By session eight, she was singing softly in front of them. Years later I ran into her — she was singing with family and friends all the time. Not performing, not proving anything. Just celebrating music the way she always had, except now her voice was part of it.

That's what this work is.

I'm Angela Kristine a conservatory trained vocal coach who’s been singing since before I could talk and coaching for 20 years. I trained at Shenandoah University's conservatory, where I earned a double degree in Vocal Performance and Arts Management, and continued my studies with Gina Salā — a vocalist and teacher whose credits include Cirque du Soleil and the United Nations, whose repertoire spans 20 languages, and who has led sound and chant retreats across four continents for over 25 years.

My methodology is called The Living Instrument. It works across four cornerstones: Technique, Mindset, Performance, and Personality — because your voice is not separate from the rest of you. It carries everything you've experienced. When something isn't working vocally, the answer is rarely just "do this with your mouth." It's usually breath, or belief, or both.

I work primarily with adults — people in their 30s, 40s, 50s and beyond who loved singing and lost it somewhere along the way, or who never had the right conditions to find it. I also work with performing vocalists ready to go deeper.

Coaching with me is structured, committed work. My programs — Reboot, Amplify, and Ignition — are designed around where you are and where you want to go. Whether you're looking for structured voice lessons or a full coaching arc. This isn't drop-in. It's transformation with a plan.
